06.10.2011 - International Students Conference on Electrodynamics and Mechatronics (SCE 2011) in Opo

Every two years, the IEEE Opole Student Branch co-organizes the International Students Conference on Electrodynamics and Mechatronics (SCE). The goal of the conference is to present the latest research and results of young scientists (preferred students, PhD Students, and young post-doc scientists) related to electrodynamics and mechatronics topics. The SCE gives all participants a chance to share technical experiences and possibility to make new international contacts. Besides, the conference is a good opportunity to explore Polish country.

In 2011, the IEEE Opole Student Branch together with IEEE Poland Section, Poland Section MAG Chapter and Opole University of Technology (assisted by Student Research Group ELEDYN) organized the third edition of this conference. The III SCE was held at Opole University of Technology on 6 – 8 October 2011. 15.06.2011 - ConTEL 2011

From June, 15th to June, 17th 2011 the group of Prof. Erich Leitgeb (Institute of Microwave and Photonic Engineering, Graz University of Technology) hosted the 11th International Conference on Telecommunications in Graz. The IEEE Student Branch Graz was invited to support them like some years ago (CSNDSP 2008).  This resulted in some work taking care of the technical assistance during the sessions in three lecture halls and the registration desk, protecting and preparing the coffee breaks and assisting the team whenever possible. But: When do you the possibility to join a conference for free and save several hundreds of Euros while getting the complete bag with all conference contents including the printed proceedings, all meals and joining all of the – by the way gorgeous – social events? We were enough students that everybody had enough time to join the technical sessions “just” as a listener and to get in touch with people with all over the world doing some networking… there you might meet the person responsible for your next scientific or professional work! Well, at least a lot of interesting stories and a good possibility to improve English language skills.
