upcoming: 18.03.2010 - 8th EMC Symposium 2010

On March, 18th 2010 there will be the 8th EMC Symposiun ("EMV-Fachtagung") in Seibersdorf. This ist an annual meeting of representatives of companies and universities organized by the IEEE EMC Society Austria and Seibersdorf Laboratories. This year there will be some talks on interference free electronics.

The winners received their honors at our General Assembly (11.12.2009). According to the referees the papers are on highest level.

09.12.2009 - SB Graz participates at WOMAN Winterblock

The FEMtech Career Paths Project "WOMAN" is organizing a mentoring, training, networking and internship program for engineering students. There should be at least 20 students with technical Background from southern Austria to start their career, both by a strong professional Classification as well as intensive support and facilitate personal development and enable them important additional qualifications.

During an event of the winterblock, the IEEE Student Branch Graz (represented by their Chair Bernd  Bodner) had the possibility to support this project by giving a presentation in the morning session. In the afternoon, the girls made a trip Gratkorn to visit the semiconductor company NXP.

Our annual two days workshop in May is a highlight for all of us. This year’s topic was “Automotive Softskills”.

Three well-known companies from the automotive sector (Audi, IVM, and InTech) offered a widespread program covering different fields of automotive engineering.
